Web Signature Kit

Here is a little teaser on the signature control we work on for Xojo Web Edition. It allows you to have a control where users can sign with a pen or their finger in a web app.

Some things can be customized like the colors and you receive image as JPEG or PNG for storage in a database.

Any feedback is welcome. You can try it on our website.

All tablets that I have tried this with work fine. Except, the Microsoft Surface will only use the special Microsoft pen. A finger will not work for the MS Surface.

Well, licensing is not yet decided.

is that the control may contain a background image? it can be useful for doctors, beauticians, etc.. For example, to surround certain areas of the photo, showing an area of the photo, etc..

The control could then be used for signatures, but also for many other things.

I feel that my penultimate comment was lost, so I republished:

Super!! :-)

I’d love a new “MBS plugins for WE”, with lots of custom web controls! :-)
I’m ready to buy a license for it, if controls are compatible with smartphones and tablets.

I confirm that Terry said. This control does not work on a Nokia smartphone with Windows Phone 8 (IE10). This does not work on a Dell tablet with Windows 8 (IE10) and Windows 8.1 (IE11).

In fact, it does not work because as soon as you touch control with your finger, it moves the page.

In any case, congratulations for the work!

There are many things to do for WE: text editor compatible with mobile, charts in javascript, modules for social networking, etc.

Maybe integrated in the WebStarterKit v1.1 ?
