Using Google Mail with MBS Plugin

If you have a google mail account and you enabled IMAP, POP3 and SMTP on it, you can use it with our MBS Plugin to send and receive emails.

To send, please use server "smtp.gmail.com" and pass true for UseSSL parameter. And that's all you need for sending, because the normal SSL will be good enough.

For IMAP to receive, use URL with "imaps://imap.gmail.com" (s for SSL). And with that little change the imap example from us also works fine.

Next plugin will have an example for that.

Hi Christian,

In the example it seems that the content text does not arrive in my Google mailbox, am I overlooking something?

Well, for me it works and the email shows in gmail on the website and in my Apple Mail app.
Sorry, no idea.

Haven’t looked at the new beta, yet: is this working with curl/Imap or the new Google mail api?

This is normal IMAP via CURL and works fine.

Hi Christian, I found out that this might be a text encoding issue: if the browser settings do not support a specific encoding that is used in a mail message, Gmail (browser and app) does not show the text. When I download the mail with Outlook everything is visible.
